Celebrating Literature, Art, Music & Culture

The recently concluded Cultural Kaarva’n – Virasat 2025, presented by Jashn-e-Adab in Mumbai, was a spectacular celebration of India’s rich artistic and literary heritage. The two-day festival brought together an extraordinary lineup of celebrated artists, thinkers, and performers, weaving a tapestry of music, poetry, theatre, and dialogue.

Audiences were captivated by an array of soulful performances — from Pt. Sajan Mishra and Pt. Swarnash Mishra’s classical vocal recital “Raga Ranjani” to the enchanting sufi melodies of Zubair Alam & Group and Pt. Ronu Majumdar’s mesmerizing bansuri vadan. The festival also featured the spellbinding “Ruhaniyat” concert with Kavita Seth and Kavish Seth, which left the audience deeply moved.

The literary sessions drew immense attention, with Javed Akhtar’s thought-provoking conversation “Bikharta Aaina, Simat-le Aks: Nazariya” and the poetic symposium “Mehfil-e-Sukhan: Shabd Rang” featuring luminaries like Wasim Barelvi, Farhat Ehsas, and Ashwani Kumar Chand. The dialogue “Roopantar” brought together Manu Rishi Chadha, Deepak Dobriyal, Kirti Kulhari, and Sheena Chohan in an engaging discussion on cinema and theatre, moderated by Priyanka Jodhawat.

The festival also showcased cultural diversity through Richa Jain’s Kathak performance, Arvind Gaur’s Hindi play “Amritsar Aa Gaya”, and Surender Sharma’s humorous “Hasoge to Phasoge”. Poets, musicians, and performers from across the country joined in, creating an atmosphere of artistic unity and creative exchange.

Cultural Kaarva’n – Virasat 2025 was truly a confluence where tradition met innovation — a two-day journey through India’s living heritage that celebrated the power of words, rhythm, and performance in one unforgettable experience.
